Role Description

At Mokobara, we're on a mission to reimagine how the world travels, through beautifully designed luggage, backpacks, handbags, and accessories that blend form, function, and premium craftsmanship.

We’re now looking for a Color, Material & Finish (CMF) Designer to help elevate our product experience to the next level. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of design, innovation, and lifestyle, help define the visual and tactile identity of a fast-growing, design-led brand, and create products that travel the world and transform the way people experience movement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and define Mokobara’s CMF strategy across backpacks, handbags, and luggage
• Research and source innovative materials, textiles, and finishes from global and local suppliers
• Build seasonal colour palettes, material libraries, and finish directions that align with Mokobara’s design language
• Collaborate closely with product designers, sourcing teams, and manufacturers to translate CMF concepts into production-ready solutions
• Benchmark and study global lifestyle and travel accessory trends to stay ahead of the curve
• Prototype, test, and validate materials for durability, performance, sustainability, and feel
• Maintain an evolving material and finish library for internal and vendor reference

Candidate Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience as a CMF Designer or in a similar role within bags, accessories, apparel, or consumer products
• Strong knowledge of materials, textiles, coatings, and hardware finishes
• Candidates from Fashion Design & Textile Design backgrounds will be preferred
• An excellent eye for color harmonies, textures, and premium aesthetics
• Ability to balance design ambition with manufacturing feasibility
• Strong collaboration skills - we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with designers, suppliers, and vendors
• Passion for creating beautiful, functional, and durable products
• Prior experience in textiles & fashion is a plus
