Job Overview :

We seek a dynamic and proactive ServiceNow Discovery Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will assume responsibility for the management and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery, ensuring the health of the CMDB and supporting platform users within a fast-paced, Agile environment. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical skills, experience with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), and the ability to thrive in a high-demand, rapidly changing environment. Key Responsibilities :

● ServiceNow Discovery Administration :

○ Mature and expand the ServiceNow Discovery module to enhance data quality and improve CMDB accuracy.

○ Administer and maintain MID Servers, ensuring reliable and efficient operation for ServiceNow Discovery and integrations.

○ Manage updates, configurations, and enhancements for the Discovery process to align with business needs.

○ Proactively identify opportunities to improve discovery and CMDB automation to enhance data completeness, correctness, and compliance.

● CMDB Health and Data Quality :

○ Ensure the overall health of the CMDB utilizing tools such as the CMDB Health Dashboard, Data Certification, and the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).

○ Enforce adherence to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) to maintain standardized data practices.

○ Oversee the creation and maintenance of relationships between IT services, applications, and infrastructure components within the CMDB.

● Development, Integrations, and Automation :

○ Design, develop, and maintain scripts, scheduled jobs, business rules, and UI actions to support business requirements.

○ Collaborate with team members to implement and maintain integrations utilizing APIs, Service Graph Connectors, and Integration Hub for streamlined data flow.

○ Automate processes using ServiceNow's scripting tools to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.

● Agile Development and Platform Support :

○ Actively participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, user story creation, and backlog grooming.

○ Provide Level 2 & 3 support for the ServiceNow platform, resolving Discovery incidents and handling service requests in a fast-paced environment.

○ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy new features, custom applications, and enhancements.

● Data Management and Reporting :

○ Load, manipulate, and maintain data within ServiceNow, ensuring high data integrity and reliability.

○ Utilize reporting tools to monitor platform performance and provide insights on CMDB health metrics and Discovery coverage.

Skills and Qualifications :

Experience :

● Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience administering ServiceNow Discovery in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

● Proven experience with API integrations and Service Graph Connectors.

● Experience with ServiceNow in a cloud environment (e.g., Azure, AWS).

● Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development lifecycle.

Technical Skills :

● Proficient in JavaScript, PowerShell, and JSON.

● Expertise in ServiceNow scripting and automation, including business rules, client scripts, and UI policies.

● Solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, including troubleshooting common issues.

● Working knowledge of network concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

● Familiarity with CSS and UI customization is a plus.

Certifications :

● ITIL Foundation certification (preferred).

● ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) (required).

● ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) (required).

● Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proven ability to identify root causes, analyze complex situations, and implement effective solutions within ServiceNow Discovery.

● Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
