We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team based out of our office in Delhi, India and contribute to our continued growth.
Job Overview:
As the Assistant Manager - Accounts Receivable , you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our hospitality group by ensuring timely and accurate processing of all accounts receivable transactions. This position will work closely with the Finance Head, finance team and clients to maintain financial health, support cash flow management, and uphold excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable department, including billing, collections, and cash application.
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing for all guests, corporate clients, and third-party vendors.
Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and proactively follow up on overdue payments, implementing effective collections strategies.
Prepare and analyze monthly aging reports, account reconciliations, and financial statements to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
Collaborate with the sales, front office, and finance teams to resolve billing issues, discrepancies, and customer disputes in a professional and timely manner.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts receivable process.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
Assist with the preparation for audits, including providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Train, mentor, and supervise the accounts receivable team, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
Timely processing Refunds and challenge chargebacks.
Stay current with industry regulations, best practices, and technology advancements to continuously improve the department's performance.
Qualifications:
Ideally qualified or part-qualified in CA or CMA.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and MS Office (especially Excel).
Experience with hospitality management software (e.g., Opera, PMS, or similar) is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, guests, and team members.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
