We are looking for an experienced Senior Generative AI Engineer to lead the expansion of a Generative AI MVP into additional frontline banking scenarios. This role will involve developing, fine-tuning, and deploying Generative AI models, such as Llama 3 , on Databricks and AWS platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, NLP, and scalable AI architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generative AI Model Development:
  • Expand and enhance the existing Generative AI MVP to support new use cases for frontline bankers.
  • Design and fine-tune Llama 3 models and other advanced generative AI solutions for banking applications.
  • Integration & Deployment:
  • Integrate AI models with Databricks pipelines and AWS infrastructure for seamless scalability.
  • Deploy AI solutions in production environments, ensuring robustness and reliability.
  • Data Preparation & Processing:
  • Collaborate with data engineers to preprocess and manage large transactional datasets (cards, business banking, etc.) for AI readiness.
  • Ensure model input data adheres to quality and formatting standards for optimal performance.
  • Performance Optimization:
  • Monitor and optimize model performance in terms of accuracy, speed, and cost efficiency.
  • Experiment with hyperparameter tuning and distributed training techniques on Databricks clusters.
  • Collaboration:
  • Partner with data engineers and stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI use cases.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Research & Innovation:
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in Generative AI and machine learning.
  • Propose innovative solutions to enhance the effectiveness and scalability of AI-driven applications.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Technical Expertise:
  • 6+ years of experience in AI/ML, with 3+ years in Generative AI model development (e.g., Llama, GPT, BERT, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch , and ML frameworks.
  • Expertise in NLP techniques, including transformers, embeddings , and large language models.
  • Experience with Databricks and AWS cloud services (e.g., SageMaker, Lambda, S3).
  • AI Integration & Deployment:
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI models in production environments using MLOps pipelines .
  • Familiarity with integrating AI models into data pipelines and business workflows.
  • Problem-Solving & Leadership:
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on designing scalable AI solutions.
  • Experience leading teams or mentoring junior engineers.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Llama 3 or other advanced large language models.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI in financial services or similar domains.
  • Familiarity with distributed training and fine-tuning techniques.
  • Exposure to responsible AI practices , including model explainability and ethical AI guidelines.
