Purpose of the Role - The Salesforce Engineer is responsible for supporting the overall maintenance of the Salesforce platform. Acting as a central point of orchestration for developers, support teams, as well as end users, the administrator provides critical day to day support for deployment, user setup, data, monitoring, troubleshooting, enhancing, automating, reporting, upgrading and training of the platform. Primary Roles and Responsibilities - Own the end to end administration of the Salesforce Platform including user management, workflows, and basic validations. Deployment of platform changes, by collaborating with the application development & support teams Provide expert support with setup and maintenance of reports and dashboards Plan and manage upgrade of environments with the salesforce release train Perform data load activities on demand Lead Security Audits & Compliance related activities Orchestrate the Disaster Recovery Execution in collaboration with the support teams Monitor and troubleshoot Integrations Salesforce Configurations Competencies - Development Support: Support new developer onboarding activities of Bitbucket branch creation & Management. Define Code Promotion Framework to merge and deploy code to higher branches Release Execution: Responsible to execute releases of major, minor, hotfixes, pre and post deployment activities, reverse sync etc. Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in collaboration with development teams and vendor support. Support Key Users and manage their delegated administration Administration of DevOps Infrastructure: Administration of the devops suite (AutoRabit/Flossum) Continuous Integration: Maintain CI/CD jobs. Sandbox Management: End to end ownership of sandboxes from creation, clone, deletion, refresh, usage review to managing access for various environments Refresh Activities: Execute refresh of sandboxes form PRD, additionally oversee delegated activities Security Review: Support regular security review activities by extracting the relevant reports and working with the Application owner Edu cation*: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Engineering or Computer Applications Experience*: 3+ years in Salesforce Administration & DevOps activities 2+ years with DevOps tools such as AutoRabit, BitBucket, etc. 1+ year with Salesforce Development Skills : Certified in Salesforce Administration Good knowledge of Salesforce architecture and related technologies Good knowledge on SF development best practices, objects Experience with Agile/Scrum Techniques and tools like JIRA. Strong communication (verbal/written/listening) skills. Good organizational skills with an eye for detail and able to work within a team setting. Experience working with and/or driving remote teams across continents and time zones is a huge benefit.
