Job Summary: Data Analyst Exp: 7+ years We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering - Technical Specialist with a strong background in Azure Databricks, Power BI and Azure Ecosystem to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in building, managing, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines, as well as hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, data lakes, and cloud-based data solutions. This role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing data solutions that support business insights, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Architect and build scalable and reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure Databricks and related Azure services. Develop, test, and implement data processing frameworks in Databricks for large-scale batch and streaming data ingestion, processing, and transformation. Design data models, optimize data flows, and create high-quality data pipelines to support analytics and business intelligence. Data Management: Leverage Azure Data Lake and Azure SQL Database to store and manage large datasets. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and data lifecycle management, ensuring data is processed securely and is accessible for appropriate business needs. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Act as a technical advisor on data engineering best practices, especially within the Azure ecosystem. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing Initiatives within the team. Technical Implementation: Develop and maintain custom scripts and solutions in Python or Scala within Databricks to transform and process data. Integrate Databricks with other Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Function App, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure BLOB (Azure Data Lake Storage) and Power BI. Design and implement job orchestration and automation using tools like Azure Data Factory, ensuring efficient data workflows and minimizing manual intervention. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a similar role, with at least 2 years of experience in Azure Databricks. Proven experience working with Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Strong experience in ETL/ELT with streaming and batch processes, big data processing, and creating data pipelines. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python for data processing and scripting. Solid understanding of SQL for querying and data manipulation. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and relational databases. Experience with performance optimization, cost management, and job scheduling on Azure Databricks. Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git, and experience with CI/CD pipelines for data solutions is a plus. Key Competencies: Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and solve data-related issues effectively. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot data pipeline issues and debug problems effectively within a cloud-based data environment. Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work within a collaborative team environment and contribute to cross-functional data projects.
