Purpose of the Role -


  • Virtualization Administration: Manage and maintain virtual environments using VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V. Ensure high availability, performance, and resource optimization.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the administration of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions, including Azure Virtual Machines (VMs) and AWS EC2 instances. Implement best practices for cloud resource management and cost optimization.
  • M365 Administration: Administer Microsoft 365 services with a strong focus on Teams and Exchange. Ensure reliable operation, security, and support for end-users.
  • Windows Server Administration: Perform comprehensive administration of Windows Server environments. Implement and update server hardening techniques to enhance security and compliance.
  • Network Administration: Manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Monitor network performance and security and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Backup Administration: Oversee backup and recovery operations, with a focus on NetBackup. Ensure data integrity, reliability, and availability through regular testing and maintenance.
  • Basic Database Tasks: Utilize basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) for routine database tasks such as maintenance and backups.
  • Intune Administration: Administrate Intune EUC devices, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
  • Coordination with MSPs: Work closely with external Managed Service Providers to address all technical aspects, ensuring seamless service delivery and issue resolution.


COMPETENCIES


Technical Competencies


  • Strong experience with VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure VMs and AWS EC2.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, specifically Teams and Exchange.
  • Extensive experience with Windows Server administration, including server hardening techniques.
  • Basic understanding of MSSQL database administration.
  • Knowledge of networking, including configuring and managing network devices and ensuring network security.
  • Expertise in backup administration, with significant experience using NetBackup.
  • Hands-on experience with daily Intune administration, experience with the migration of Group Policy Objects (GPO) to Intune Configuration Profiles, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.

Education


• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect

• VMware Certified Professional

• Cisco Certified Network Associate or Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist Certification

• Other relevant industry certifications


Experience


Minimum of 8-10 years in a similar role, with proven experience in the primary duties and responsibilities listed above.


Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.): Working hours will primarily align with India business hours, but flexibility to accommodate Singapore business hours is required
