Job Title: Senior Naval Architect – Offshore Oil & Gas Minimum Education:BSc/BTech Degree in Naval Architecture (mandatory)MSc/MTech Degree in Naval Architecture or related discipline (preferred)Minimum Experience:10–15 years of relevant experience in offshore oil & gas facilities and drilling rigsBackground with major construction yards, EPC contractors, or engineering consultantsTechnical Skills & Expertise:In-depth knowledge of classification rules and regulatory requirements, including:ABS, DNV, BVSOLAS, IMO, Loadline, CAP 437Hands-on experience with naval architectural software such as:MOSES, GHS, AutoHydro, Aveva Marine, etc.Proven design experience in marine and offshore floating structuresWorking knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., API, ISO, etc.)Roles & Responsibilities:Prepare design specifications, reports, and technical documentationPerform technical evaluations and review vendor documentationProvide engineering support during fabrication, construction, and installation phasesSupport or lead load-out and float-off operations (experience in this area is desirable)Interpersonal & Communication Skills:Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multinational team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills with cross-disciplinary interactionProven ability to influence and motivate teams in driving continuous improvement
