Designation: Project Manager (Retail Fit-Outs) - Museums

Experience : Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in retail interior design and fit-outs with experience of having worked on at-least 1 Museum spatial retail fit-out project

Company : A leading communication design and production group doing retail fit outs for global brands.

Employees : 300+

Location : Andheri (West), Mumbai, India

Work Days : 5 to 6 days a week basis project needs.

Travel: Could be extensive depending on the location of the museums.

Position Overview:

HR Interface Executive Search is recruiting for the position of Project Manager (Architect) – Retail Fit-Outs (Museums Spatial Experiences) The successful candidate will specialize in managing turnkey retail interior projects , including furniture and fittings. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of project planning, execution, and coordination with vendors, clients, and site teams. The candidate will ensure projects meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and adhere to client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, including design, procurement, installation, and handover.

Coordination:

  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, contractors, suppliers, and designers to ensure smooth project execution.

Budget Management:

  • Develop, manage, and track project budgets and timelines, ensuring completion within agreed financial constraints.

CAD Drawings:

  • Interpret and review CAD drawings, layouts, and design plans to ensure alignment with client requirements and implementation feasibility.

Quality Control:

  • Monitor the quality of materials, finishes, and installations, ensuring compliance with specifications and meeting client expectations.

Vendor Management:

  • Source and manage suppliers for furniture, fixtures, and fittings, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks during project execution and implement mitigation plans.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, budgets, and issues, providing regular updates to clients and senior management.

Client Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, addressing concerns and managing expectations.

Applicant Qualifications (Must Have):

  • Minimum 6-8 years of project management experience in the retail interior design and fit-out sector .
  • Must have worked on 3-4 experience centers (Immersive Design Solutions | Exhibitions) WITH atleast 1 project experience in a MUSEUM
  • Should be an Architect by educational background

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with CAD software for understanding and reviewing technical drawings.
  • Proven experience in turnkey retail interior projects , including furniture and fittings.
  • Advanced Excel for project tracking, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to manage multiple stakeholders and relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Client-Focused: Exceptional client management skills to deliver high-quality results and ensure satisfaction.

Desired Skills/Qualities:

  • Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project, Asana, or Trello.
  • Understanding of building codes and industry standards.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
