Position Title: Manager Engineering We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Engineering Manager to lead our eCommerce Search and Catalog engineering teams. This leader will be responsible for building and scaling world-class search and product discovery experiences that power our grocery retail platform. You will drive the technical strategy, architecture, and execution of our Search and Catalog systems, ensuring seamless, personalized, and high-performance experiences for millions of customers. Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams focused on search relevance, catalog management, and product discovery. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, UX, and Business teams to deliver innovative and scalable solutions. Champion engineering excellence, agile practices, and a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure high availability, performance, resiliency, and modularity of search and catalog services. Experience Required: ~7+ years of software engineering experience ~ Experience building and leading high-performance teams ~ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field. ~ Proven experience building large-scale consumer facing applications ~ Deep understanding of data pipelines and distributed computing (Spark / Databricks) ~ Deep understanding of SQL and NOSQL DB (Mongo DB/Cassandra) ~ Knowledge of front-end frameworks like ReactJS or Angular ~ Knowledge of native mobile development iOS and Android. ~ Hands-on development experience in Java, Python, Spring Boot, Elastic Search/Solr, and ReactJS or other frameworks. ~ Strong strategic planning and project execution skills. ~ Ability to work up and down the leadership range, with good flexibility to shift quickly between strategy and tactics Experience in retail, or consumer-facing digital platforms. Familiarity with personalization, taxonomy, and product data enrichment. Team-oriented, positively contributing to team morale & willing to help.
