Position Title: Assistant Professor Location: Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM), Pune Department: (Department Name - Business Management, Marketing, Finance, HR, etc.) Reports to: Head of Department, CTC - 6 LPA Position Summary: Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Professor to join our esteemed faculty. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for the development and delivery of academic content, conducting lectures, mentoring students, contributing to research and publications, fostering innovation through patents, and contributing to consultancy and institute-building programs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Content Preparation and Delivery: Curriculum Development: Design and develop comprehensive syllabi and course material for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, ensuring alignment with the latest industry trends and academic standards. Lecture Delivery: Effectively deliver high-quality lectures using modern teaching methodologies (including case studies, simulations, discussions, and digital tools), engaging students in the learning process. Course Evaluation: Create and administer assessments, quizzes, and examinations to evaluate students' progress. Provide constructive feedback to students. 2. Mentoring and Student Guidance: Student Mentoring: Provide academic and career mentorship to students. Guide them in their academic growth, research projects, internships, and placement preparations. Counseling: Offer support and advice to students on personal and professional development, helping them achieve their goals. 3. Research and Publications: Research Projects: Conduct high-quality research in your area of specialization (business management, marketing, finance, HR, etc.) and publish in reputed journals. Research Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, industry experts, and other research institutions on joint research initiatives. Publish Papers: Actively contribute to the academic community by publishing research papers in national and international journals, presenting at conferences, and contributing to academic discourse. 4. Innovation and Patents: Innovation and Patents: Develop innovative ideas, methodologies, or solutions related to your field. Work towards filing patents for original inventions or processes in business management. Collaboration with Industry: Engage with the industry to understand real-world problems, and encourage students and faculty to work on projects that can lead to patentable solutions. 5. Consultancy and Industry Engagement: Consultancy Projects: Provide consultancy services to industry partners, offering solutions to real-world business challenges. Build and maintain strong industry relations. Industry Networking: Stay updated on the latest industry trends and developments. Develop networks with industry leaders and professionals to ensure the curriculum remains relevant. 6. Institute Building and Development: Program Development: Contribute to the development and growth of new programs, workshops, and seminars at PIBM. Accreditation and Ranking: Participate in accreditation processes and rankings, ensuring that the institute maintains its standards of excellence. Institutional Initiatives: Actively participate in various institute-building initiatives, including faculty development, alumni relations, and enhancing the overall reputation of PIBM. Key Qualifications: Educational Qualification: Ph. D. or a Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field from a recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph. D. and relevant publications. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience at the university/college level (postgraduate experience preferred). Proven track record of research and publications in recognized journals or conferences. Experience in industry consultancy and/or mentoring students in internships or projects is an advantage. Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to use modern educational tools and techniques for effective teaching and learning. Research-oriented mindset with the ability to contribute to academic literature and industry projects. Strong interpersonal skills for mentoring and working with students, faculty, and industry stakeholders.
