The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, and a thorough understanding of compliance regulations. This role will involve leading complex financial analyses, overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards and compliance requirements.EXPERIENCELead/assist in the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, integrating compliance metrics and insights. Conduct analysis on reports related to commission and automated portals. Manage and mentor a team responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance and reconciliation. Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and deviations, providing actionable recommendations for compliance improvements. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of month-end and year-end closing processes, including thorough compliance checks. Monitor and ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant regulatory requirements, staying updated on any changes in regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement eƯective compliance policies and procedures. Participate in and lead ad hoc projects and analyses, particularly those related to finance and compliance initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support compliance efforts. Qualifications: Post-graduate degree in any stream. 5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, and compliance roles, with at least 1 year in a leadership position. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks); experience with automated tools is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. High attention to detail and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.Expectations from you:Basic RequirementsFamiliarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory standards relevant to the industry. Experience in the Insurance industry/sector will be an added advantage. Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies in a financial context. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
