Research analyst

BITS Law School, Mumbai welcomes applications for Research Analyst and Senior Research Analyst to join the Centre for Technology Innovation & Law Location: BITS Law School, BITS Pilani Mumbai Campus Job Description and Key Requirements: a) Undertake high-quality legal research culminating in law review articles in peer-reviewed journals and shorter essays on topics including but not limited to licensing of Standard Essential Patents (SEPs); evolving jurisprudence in SEP/FRAND litigation in India and other jurisdictions; open standardization system ICT industry; and legal/ policy/ regulatory developments pertaining to ICT & telecom industry in India, and jurisdictions such as the European Union, UK, and the US.
b) Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a new Law & Policy Fellowship Program offered by BITS Law School for scholars and practitioners, including but not limited to close coordination with internal and external stakeholders, curriculum design, and close oversight of the Program.
c) Liaise closely with the faculty involved in the Centre and with the departments of the School.
Offerings: a) The Analyst will be offered a unique opportunity to work closely with and be mentored by the faculty of BITS Law School on cutting-edge topics (such as SEP licensing, FRAND litigation, standard setting in telecom, and linkages between AI, 6 G, Io T and IP law).

Required Qualifications: a) A 5-year / 3-year LL.

from a reputable law school with good grades is required.
b) Demonstrable evidence of strong academic research and legal writing skills in relevant areas.
c) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Attributes/ Qualifications: a) LL.
M.
/ Master’s Degree in Law with specialization in technology law is desirable.
b) Familiarity with the topics mentioned in 1(a) and 2(a) above is strongly preferred (demonstrated through course work/ research projects/ academic papers/ dissertation etc.) c) 1-3 years of relevant work experience in legal academia or law practice is desirable.
Compensation: Competitive compensation structure which is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
