The Global EAM Architect / Lead leads a Center of Excellence (COE) function that provides global program management, EAM system user performance and experience, process excellence, solutioning and reporting strategy in support of Asset Lifecycle Management Global Business Process (ALM GBP) team. The Global EAM Architect / Lead drives strategic and global solutions and dashboard reporting of key performance metrics to the GO organization for all EAM ALM GBP initiatives and priorities as well as daily deliverables. delivering to service levels (primarily to the internal customers they support and enable), impact and effectiveness of global operational solutions for manufacturing and facilities, ensuring solutions are aligned with industry best practice architecture, EAM projects, enhancements and documentation, future ERP implementation leadership for EAM user experience, and overall performance in the support of Illumina’s functional businesses.

Applies advanced wide-ranging experience and professional knowledge to provide solutions in creative and effective ways.
Directs the application of existing principles and guides development of new policies and ideas. Enhances internal and external working relationships and networks with key contacts outside area of expertise.
Global roadmap of all EAM technology and future strategy related to process and user experience.
Technical point of contact for all EAM user processes to include ERP transformation representative.
Technical driver of the global/central governance and administration of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) program and tool. Striving to optimize both the global and local value of this system and its use by functional teams in the management of their assets. EAM global policy for GO is set by this team.
Global/central management and implementation of SAP EAM program and documentation. Primary user leader of EAM, system admin/ownership, architecture, projects and enhancements, data standards, monitoring, metrics, and documentation.
Responsible for ensuring strict adherence to Illumina guidelines for document management strategies and document control.
Collaborates with Quality, Life Cycle Management, Manufacturing Operations, Global Facilities, and other functions as needed.
Ensure that all company procedures and policies are complied with and carried out accordingly.
In depth knowledge in Biotech’s practice and standards especially related to MDSAP regulations, ISO 13485:2016 and 21 CFR Part 11 and Part 820 and how these standards apply to facilities and/or utility systems.
May need to travel to support programs and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Experience:
Deep understanding and experience using and managing SAP EAM. Ability to understand EAM Architecture and best in class use.
High level of business acumen and experience in highly diverse corporate environment.
Experience developing and driving technology roadmaps and strategies.
Closely work with IT, HR, Finance/accounting and Procurement business partners.
Experience building and sustaining high performing matrixed teams.
Possess technical, business and financial acumen. Comfortable with dealing with ambiguity and continuing change in a fast paced and growing hi-tech company
anticipates and develops business opportunities and priorities for future action while also executing on concrete business objectives
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time; both domestic and international.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
Proficient in SAP EAM.
Aptitude to multi-task and lead projects / negotiations.
BS Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, IT, or related discipline (4+years) or
~10+ years of experience in (combined) SAP EAM management and operations, administration, preferably in a biotechnology, life sciences or pharmaceutical related industry
~ Broad knowledge of all business areas particularly Quality Operations, Product Development and Commercial sub-function or a function within an operation or site. Typically has depth of technical knowledge in function derived from experience in non-management and middle management roles.
~ An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experiences lists above.
~ Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
~ Previous experience with QMS, CMMS, IWMS, EAM or enterprise work order management systems preferred. Also, must be computer proficient using Microsoft Office, SAP and other enterprise applications.

Experience / Education:
~ Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
