Microsoft Teams Bot Framework and Azure Cognitive Services Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Teams Bot Framework and Azure Cognitive Services Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in developing, deploying, and managing intelligent bots within Microsoft Teams, utilizing the Microsoft Bot Framework, Azure Cognitive Services, and other relevant AI-driven tools. This role will be pivotal in designing and implementing conversational solutions that enhance communication, automate workflows, and provide advanced cognitive capabilities within our Teams environment. Key Responsibilities Bot Development and Deployment Design, build, and implement scalable bots within Microsoft Teams using the Microsoft Bot Framework. Integrate bots with Azure Cognitive Services, including Language Understanding (LUIS), Speech, QnA Maker, and Translator, to deliver AI-powered, conversational user experiences. Develop custom connectors and APIs to extend bot functionality and integrate with third-party services and data sources. Solution Design and Architecture Architect and optimize bot workflows and conversational models that align with customer requirements and use cases. Design secure, resilient, and high-performance bot applications that can scale with user demand. Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to identify and analyze requirements and transform them into technical designs. Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning Apply Azure Cognitive Services for sentiment analysis, language understanding, entity extraction, and more. Fine-tune language models to improve bot response accuracy, language comprehension, and overall conversational flow. Utilize AI-based tools to build chatbots that can adapt to user intent, handle multi-turn conversations, and perform sentiment-based actions. Testing, Monitoring, and Optimization Implement automated and manual testing procedures to ensure bots meet high standards for usability and reliability. Monitor bot performance and apply analytics to enhance conversation paths, resolve issues, and improve user engagement. Utilize Azure Application Insights for bot health monitoring, logging, and tracking conversational metrics. Security and Compliance Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies for all bot solutions. Apply best practices for secure authentication, including Microsoft Authentication Libraries (MSAL) and OAuth 2.0 integrations. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for bot architectures, workflows, and code repositories. Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams and clients on bot deployment, configuration, and usage. Key Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills: Proven experience with the Microsoft Teams Bot Framework, Azure Bot Service, and Azure Cognitive Services. Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python , or similar. Hands-on experience with LUIS, QnA Maker, Translator, Speech Services , and other Azure Cognitive Services. Proficiency in designing REST APIs, managing API integrations, and using JSON for data manipulation. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in developing, deploying, and managing bots within enterprise environments. Extensive experience with conversational AI, NLP, and machine learning concepts. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, particularly Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, and Azure services. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset. Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Ability to work independently and proactively manage tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate or other relevant Azure/Microsoft certifications. Prior experience with integrating bots in highly secure, compliance-focused industries. Experience with Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents is a plus.
