SYSTRA India, a global leader in engineering and consulting for public transport infrastructure, is looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to join their team in Faridabad . Missions/Main Duties

Reporting to the Manager IT, the IT Procurement Specialist will be primarily responsible for handling IT procurement. Your main missions will include:

• Involving appropriate stakeholders in the IT procurement decision process.
• Responding to specialized user group requirements , ensuring satisfaction with vendor selection and service.
• Researching potential vendors/suppliers and comparing and evaluating their offers to provide recommendations.
• Developing and maintaining professional business relations with key external and internal stakeholders.
• Accomplishing IT procurement business goals and objectives in a time-bound manner.
• Developing and maintaining a robust supplier base and fostering mutually beneficial strategic relations with vendors.
• Maintaining a strong emphasis on accuracy and detail .
• Handling multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
• Being in charge of daily operational purchasing needs , such as planning, issuing, and following up on Purchase Orders, delivery, and shipment schedules.
• Reviewing the quality of purchased products .
• Entering order details (e.g., vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases/records.
• Maintaining updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
• Preparing reports on purchases , including cost analyses.
• Submitting IT invoices in a timely manner for on-time payments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification & Experience: B.Sc., BCA, or MBA in IT operations or Purchasing, with at least 4-5 years of experience in IT procurements .
• Technical Understanding: Solid understanding of specifications for IT hardware like Dell, Lenovo, HP laptops/desktops, servers, switches, firewalls , etc.
• Software Knowledge: Familiarity with construction engineering software licenses such as Autodesk, ETAP, ArcGIS, Midas, RailSys, HAP, Bentley products , etc.
• Communication: Good communication skills, especially fluent English speaking.
• Teamwork: A team player with a 'geek mindset.'
• Procurement Expertise: Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures .
• Vendor Management: Great relationship management skills and good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors), including RFI/RFQ/RFP processes.
• Time Management: Impeccable time-management skills.
• Work Ethic: Hardworking, meticulous, and with a positive attitude.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access) and SAP .
• Work Environment: Able to work well under stress in a fast-paced environment.
• Personal Attributes: Resourceful, self-driven, proactive, and independent worker.
