Position : QC Welding Inspector

Experience : 8 to 10 years

Location : Qatar

Industry : Oil and Gas

Salary as per industry standard


Job responsibility :

  • Inspecting welds : Checking the quality of welds, including visual inspections of weld joints
  • Reviewing documentation : Reviewing drawings, codes, standards, and documents to determine what, when, where, and how to perform inspections
  • Checking materials : Inspecting incoming materials, such as pipes, plates, and welding consumables, to ensure they meet specifications
  • Monitoring activities : Monitoring the welding activities of subcontractors and ensuring that pre-welding and in-process distortion control are correct
  • Recording inspections : Recording all production inspection points and compiling a final report that identifies imperfections
  • Comparing information : Comparing recorded information with acceptance criteria and other relevant clauses
  • Reporting discrepancies : Reporting any discrepancies through a Non-Conformance report
  • Working with fabrication : Working with fabrication to correct mistakes and improve quality


Qualifications :

Diploma in mechanical engineering

Gulf experience is mandatory

Oil and gas industry is mandatory
