Position: Dean, School of Allied Health SciencesLocation: HyderabadReports to: Vice-Chancellor / DirectorAbout the Role:We are seeking an outstanding academic leader to take on the role of Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree (Ph.D.) in disciplines such as Medical Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, or Microbiology from a premier institution and an exceptional academic, administrative, and research track record. With 10 international publications and/or patents, the candidate should be well-versed in guiding cutting-edge research, nurturing academic excellence, and driving innovation in health sciences education.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic leadership for the School of Allied Health Sciences, ensuring academic excellence and innovation.Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs in Medical Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.Promote a strong research culture, with a focus on interdisciplinary and collaborative initiatives in health sciences.Mentor and support faculty in their teaching, research, and professional development.Foster partnerships with national and international academic and research institutions.Ensure the school’s adherence to accreditation standards and maintain high academic quality.Oversee budgetary, staffing, and administrative responsibilities of the school.Champion a student-centric approach to learning, encouraging participation in research and real-world problem-solving.Build and sustain a network of industry, academic, and healthcare professionals to enhance the school’s global reputation.Key Qualifications:Ph.D. in Medical Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field from a premier institution.At least 10 international publications and/or patents in related fields.Extensive academic leadership experience with a proven track record in administration, research, and academia.A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in academic and research leadership, preferably in health sciences or medical education.Strong background in curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and interdisciplinary research.Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and manage large-scale research projects.Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams.Desired Competencies:Expertise in the fields of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and microbiology with a deep understanding of emerging trends in allied health sciences.Visionary leadership with a global outlook on medical education and research.Experience in managing collaborations between academia, healthcare, and industry.Proven track record in securing grants, patents, and research funding.Ability to foster an inclusive academic culture and drive faculty and student engagement.Knowledge of advanced teaching methodologies, including the integration of technology in medical education.Benefits:Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.Opportunity to lead one of the premier allied health sciences programs.Access to state-of-the-art research facilities and opportunities for global collaborations.Supportive environment that encourages academic freedom and innovation.If you have a passion for advancing allied health sciences through cutting-edge research and academic leadership, we invite you to apply for the role of Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences.
