The Society for Applied Studies (SAS), a Delhi-based not-for-profit research organization invites applications from young professionals building a career in public health for the position of Early Career Researcher under the Platform for Research Excellence Related to National Aims (PRERNA). PRERNA- aims to promote innovative and impactful research and develop a model for accelerating progress in implementation of high-quality research in public health. The Early Career Researcher program is intended to provide a Researcher the skills required for a productive career in public health research and practice.

Early Career Researcher

PLACE OF WORK : Society for Applied Studies, 45, Kalu Sarai, New Delhi (near Hauz Khas Metro Station)

MBBS or above (MD (any branch of medicine)) or Masters or higher in the following areas:

Molecular biology

Candidates with any of the following skills at an early career level or higher will be preferred:

- Knowledge of public health research methods, epidemiology or bio-statistics

- Data science, bioinformatics

Commensurate with experience

DESCRIPTION OF WORK AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:

Training in advanced research methods, epidemiology, statistics and modelling

Development of research proposals and implementation of research activities

Participation in curated scientific workshops and symposia

Data analysis

Scientific communication

Possibility for enrollment in PhD programs at partnering institutions (based on performance and proficiency in required skills
