Samba Nova is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for Sambanova Samba Studio & other upcoming products.
Responsibilities
Drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of features and enhancements.
Pay extra attention to non-functional requirements (Performance, Scalability, Reliability, High Availability)
Partner with leaders from architecture, engineering management, & product management on project requirements, designs, & development plans
Keep product quality top of mind by creating automated tests for the software that you help create & helping in code reviews.
Work in an Agile environment & follow scrum practices to deliver high quality software in a timely manner.
Achieve a deep knowledge of our product architecture, usage patterns, & real-world deployment scenarios to develop an understanding of which solutions will bring value to our customers.
Contribute to and improve existing systems with architectural and technological decisions for the team.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years in software engineering and technology architecture with a demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient systems to support software development and deployment
Strong computer science fundamentals
Experience building enterprise-grade software with Python, Go, or other modern programming languages
Strong technical acumen with Kubernetes and hands on experience with deploying and managing services on clusters using tools like Helm and Argo CD
Additional Required Qualifications
Experience building and deploying robust and secure web APIs and microservices
Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior members
Proven startup experience in scaling and supporting engineering teams, with the ability to lead by example and foster a high-performance culture
Preferred Qualifications
Deep knowledge of distributed systems. Solid understanding of fundamental CI/CD,
Dev Ops or MLOps development experience will be a plus.
Security hardening will be a plus.
Experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with related services and tools.
Experience in React JS will be a plus.
