Overview: This senior backend developer role requires a skilled individual with 6-12 years of experience building and maintaining robust, scalable backend systems. You will be responsible for the entire backend development lifecycle, from design and architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment. You will leverage your expertise in Python frameworks like Django and Django REST Framework, coupled with AWS and Kubernetes, to deliver high-performing, secure applications that meet user needs. Responsibilities: Design and develop: Build, maintain, and extend backend APIs using Django REST Framework. Design and implement efficient database models using My SQL and Elasticsearch. Implement caching strategies using Redis. Utilize message queues like Rabbit MQ and Kafka for asynchronous communication. Develop and manage backend tasks and workflows with Celery. Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and microservices. Infrastructure and deployment: Deploy and manage backend applications on AWS using technologies like EC2, ECS, Lambda, and EKS. Implement containerization using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes. Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of backend systems. Security and monitoring: Implement robust security practices and compliance measures within the backend. Monitor system health and performance using AWS tools like Cloud Watch and Cloud Trail. Identify and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime. Collaboration and communication: Collaborate effectively with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Stay updated: Keep current with the latest advancements in Python frameworks, AWS services, and Kubernetes technologies. Continuously learn and expand your skillset to adapt to evolving Required Skills: 6-12 years of experience in backend development Proficiency in Python, Django, Django REST Framework, Celery, u WSGI Strong understanding of database technologies like My SQL and Elasticsearch Experience with caching solutions like Redis and message queues like Rabbit MQ Familiarity with Java Script and React.js Proven experience with AWS cloud technologies, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, and EKS Understanding of containerization and Kubernetes Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Additional Skills (Preferred): Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI) Experience with infrastructure as code (Ia C) tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation Experience with security best practices and compliance standards Experience in Dev Ops methodologies and practices This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a senior backend developer who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable applications.
