Position - Supervisor/ Coordinator

A Helen O’Grady International Supervisor/Coordinator is the brand
ambassador of the programme. An educator who believes in the methodology
and the ethos of the brand and strives to ensure the reputation of the
brand is upheld at all times.
TIME COMMITMENT:
A maximum of 20 active lecture hours per week
Travelling time to the schools/centres is not included in the working hours
It is mandatory for all members of the training department to reach 30 minutes
before the class-time.
Apart from the regular hours, any trainings, workshops, team building activities
and events organized by the company have to be attended mandatorily.
Additional working hours apart from the classes, whether from home or from
office will be expected on a daily basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Keep the monthly track of ongoing classes.
• Prepare schedules of teachers depending on their timetables.
• Recruit, Train, Supervise and Teach.
• Preparation of lessons for the Teachers and Classes.
• PR with teachers, Principals and Students.
• Standard letters recording system need to be maintained.
• Organise & Manage events that needs to be done on regular basis with schools.
• Image building exercises needs to be put in place.
• Pro-Active measures for Quality Control, Branding and Marketing.
• Report to the head of Training and Marketing for the progress.
• Guidance and Discussion with the core head office team.
• Trainings

• Presentation for marketing purposes
• Comfortable in travelling for quality control purposes within India and other countries
• Scheduling training calendars
• Preparing teacher observation charts
• Preparing teacher induction sheets
• Duties to be assigned to the Drama Mentors
• Arrange advertisements, screen, and interview and appoint new teachers.
• Supervise and support teaching staff and attend parent days.
• Organise and host staff meetings.
• Prepare new curriculum as necessary for self and teachers.
• Replenish stocks in teachers’ kits as required.
• Ensure all DBS checks are up to date as regularly as necessary.
• Prepare and teach own class lessons
• Make and answer telephone sales calls.
• Record enquiries, calls made and enrolments appropriately.
• Respond to email enquiries.
• Prepare and maintain records as required by branch and by Head Office.
• Respond to parents’ queries and difficulties.
• Contact schools and deliver school letters at correct times.
• Liaise with Principal, Head Office and teachers as necessary.
• Prepare and distribute information to parents, schools and other organisations
as required.
• Prepare and issue invoices to ensure collection of late fees.
• Collect fees from teachers, update office fee book and pay money into business
account.
• Maintain records of supplies purchased through petty cash.
• Collate and present information for reports required by Head Office as required.
• Attend training seminars.
• Maintain requirements for Child Protection, Health and Safety and Insurance at all
times.
Supervisory duties:
• Teachers- punctuality, attitudes, grooming and teacher training requirements.
Auditing the classroom delivery of teachers, managing substitutions of teachers.
Maintaining Supervision sheets of all Teachers.
• Aiding in the Recruitment of teachers.
• Training, creating training schedules, ensuring all teachers attend the trainings.
• Teaching as substitute teacher whenever required
• Conducting parent orientations and presentations and guiding Teachers on
how to do it.
• Maintaining regular contact\PR with Centre heads, pre- school owners, School
Principals/coordinators, studio owners, activity centres etc.
• Interaction with parents wherever required
• Creating and implementing activities, events for upgrading staff skills
• Maintaining record of material required by Teachers and given to Teachers.
• Interaction with the Franchise network, collecting and collating information on
Curriculum requirement, certificate requirements, training requirements and
general PR.
Quality checks-both planning and execution for the various centres under HO
and under Franchisees.
• Follow ups with all franchisees and direct business to fulfill the needs of class
Activities, liike Standard letters (welcome letter, feedback letters, etc).
Special classes (costume, prop, bring a friend etc)
Evaluation and assessment exercises etc.
• Staff welfare activities- planning and execution.
• Brainstorming with rest of the team for promoting HO events.
• Planning and executing for the presentations at schools or for parent days.
This includes prop-making, costume design, set design, light and sound design.
Each member of the training department is expected to aspire to achieve goals set for the classes and to improve the overall quality of the curriculum delivery.
