About this role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Test Automation Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests using tools like Playwright/Selenium, as well as conducting manual testing to identify and report bugs. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive suite of test cases. Your expertise in quality assurance processes will contribute significantly to delivering exceptional user experiences.


Core Responsibilities

Test Automation:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive suite of test cases covering various scenarios and functionalities.
  • Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and identify potential issues early in the development cycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automation testing tools and best practices.

Manual Testing:

  • Conduct thorough manual testing to identify bugs and usability issues.
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover unexpected behavior and edge cases.
  • Document and report defects clearly and concisely, providing steps to reproduce.

Quality Assurance:

  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and testability.
  • Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.


Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role in a B2B SaaS company.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript) for automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar automation frameworks.
  • Experience with manual testing techniques and bug tracking tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent.
