Job Overview:
The Security Analyst will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems to ensure timely detection of security threats and operational issues. The role requires in-depth knowledge of various monitoring platforms and the ability to integrate these tools for comprehensive security visibility. You will collaborate with the IT, DevOps, and Security teams to fine-tune alert mechanisms and ensure system resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for comprehensive infrastructure and security visibility.
Administer and manage Linux servers, ensuring security and operational efficiency.
Develop custom dashboards and reports for visualizing security and system performance.
Monitor network, infrastructure, and applications in real-time to detect and address security incidents.
Investigate security incidents and respond based on data from monitoring tools.
Provide root cause analysis and suggest remediation steps for security and system issues.
Integrate various monitoring tools for centralized visibility and alerting.
Automate monitoring and alerting processes to improve efficiency.
Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to refine monitoring and alerting strategies.
Document monitoring configurations and provide training on dashboards and incident response.
Requirements:
3+ years in a similar role focused on security and system monitoring
Proficient in configuring and managing Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Nagios, Zabbix, and Prometheus Alert Manager.
Strong knowledge of networking, system security, and incident response frameworks.
Experience with firewalls, proxies, SIEM, SOAR, antivirus, IDPS concepts, log management, data analysis, and alert tuning.
Familiarity with scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Bash) and configuration management tools like Ansible or Terraform.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to security incidents in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience in managing hybrid environments, including on-premises and virtualized infrastructure.
Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
