Job Description for Financial Analyst - GLIn this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:- Performs GL accounting along with the GL group of APAC / EMEA region GL accountants within the established accounting policies of the corporation.- Support on new systems implementation- Will have GL responsibilities of EMEA and APAC including:- Cash Management- Travel & Entertainment- Payroll- Fixed Assets- Leases- GL Closure- Monthly & Quarterly Reconciliations- Good Communication skills- Collaborates with Regional and Global GL team and accountants- Recommends changes in methods and procedures to improve the efficiencyResponsibilities for Internal CandidatesTo be successful in this role you will need the following:- US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles - Evaluates US accounting standards to record transactions in compliance with requirements and company policies; assesses the accounting requirements and objectives to determine the implications on the business and communicate to stakeholders with varying financial knowledge.- Business Process and Internal Control Risk Analysis - Evaluates business processes to identify risks and internal control gaps; applies understanding of business processes and relevant risks to develop and implement process improvements; develops risk management plans by applying internal control framework to address identified risks.- Business Partnering - Collaborates with stakeholders and develops partnerships to drive- performance that aligns to organizational goals and strategies; influences the organization by- demonstrating knowledge of the business to provide guidance to support the decision making- process and guiding the business towards positive results and organizational alignment; evaluates business environment using measures to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities.- Financial Analysis - Interprets financial data by analyzing trends, variances, opportunities and risks to provide insight to stakeholders regarding financial impact to drive business improvement; evaluates financial results against targets to communicate conclusions to all stakeholders; ensures integrity of financial data by investigating variances and determining corrective actions to resolve identified issues.- Ensures accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.- Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.- Customer focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.- Drives results - Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.- Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.Qualifications for Internal CandidatesCollege, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required, MBA, CA Inter.
