Learn more about us here: About AutoVRse (Notion Site) Job Description: As the Production Art Lead, you will oversee the artistic direction and production pipeline for all VR, AR, and Web 3D projects. You will collaborate closely with designers, programmers, and other stakeholders to deliver visually stunning and technically sound content. Your leadership will ensure our projects meet the highest standards of creativity and functionality. Key Responsibilities: (A) Art Direction & Project Management: Define and drive the artistic vision for all projects, ensuring consistency and quality. Oversee the art production pipeline from concept to final delivery. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality 3D Assets by coordinating with project managers and other departments involved with project delivery. Manage art resources, considering schedules, budgets, and delivery timelines. (B) Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of software like Blender, Substance Painter/Designer, and Unity. Implement and maintain efficient workflows for asset creation, integration, and optimization. Solve technical challenges related to art production and pipeline integration. Expert-level understanding of PBR workflows for creating optimized VR environments. Expert-level understanding of optimizing high-poly models (to low-poly), and UV mapping / unwrapping for creating VR-ready environments. Familiarity with environment design principles, including terrain sculpting, foliage creation, atmospheric effects, post-processing effects to enhance visual quality. Familiarity with rigging techniques for character animation. Familiarity with procedural generation tools for creating complex environments. (C) Team Leadership: Participate in performance appraisals, art reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members / reportees. Lead, mentor, and inspire a young team of talented 3D Artists, Modelers and Designers, providing guidance and feedback. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Computer Graphics, Design or an equivalent field. 8+ years of experience in a senior art role within the gaming or VR industry. Expert-level Proficiency in Blender, Substance Painter/Designer, and Unity. Expert-level knowledge in 3D modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, and rendering. Expert-level knowledge of using Unity’s Shader Graph and / or custom HLSL/GLSL shaders. Proven track record of leading art teams and delivering high-quality visual content. Familiarity with VR/AR platforms and optimization techniques. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. What do we offer? Compensation (Cash + Perquisites): INR 16 - 18 Lakh per annum Stock Options: INR 20 Lakh, at current FMV, 4 year vesting-cycle.
