Job Title: Data Architect Senior Manager

Location: Hyderabad, India

Division: Information Technology, GPS Data and Analytics Enablement

Position Summary:

The Data Architect Sr. Manager role is accountable for developing data solutions and operations support for the Enterprise data lake. This includes developing pipelines for data enablement projects, production/application support, and enhancements, as well as supporting data operations activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain data products and architecture to meet the organization's data needs.
  • Develop and maintain data models to support reporting and analysis needs.
  • Create ad-hoc analytic solutions from design to testing, deployment, and lifecycle management.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval for efficient performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and scientists to understand data needs and ensure infrastructure supports requirements.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and testing.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics.
  • Work with data/analytic technologies such as Python, Spark, SQL, AWS Redshift, S3, Glue/Glue-Studio, Athena, AI, Tableau, Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), Domino.
  • Participate in analyzing, designing, building, managing, and operating the enterprise data lake and analytics-focused digital capabilities.
  • Develop cloud-based data pipelines for data processing and analysis using AWS.
  • Define data operations support and experience with related tools.
  • Build end-to-end data ETL pipelines from data integration, processing, visualization.
  • Maintain data acquisition/operational focused capabilities including Data Catalog, User Access Request/Tracking, Data Use Request.
  • Proficient in Python, Spark, SQL, AWS Redshift, S3, Glue/Glue-Studio, Athena, AI.
  • Familiarity with metadata platforms, Neo4J, IAM, CFT, and native AWS services.
  • Experience working internationally with globally dispersed teams, managing offshore technical development teams.
  • Prior experience working with global life sciences data is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in diverse, multi-disciplined work groups.

Estimated Salary Range:$120,000 - $180,000 per year

Required Experience:

  • 10-12 years of experience in information technology, developing AWS cloud-native data lakes and ecosystems.
  • Proficient in Python, Spark, SQL, AWS Redshift, S3, Glue/Glue-Studio, Athena, AI.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, preferably AWS and related services, in delivering and supporting data and analytics solutions/data lakes.
  • 3-5 years of experience with operations and production support, optimizing supporting processes.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in an onshore-offshore delivery model.
  • Solid programming skills in Python and Spark, strong proficiency in Cloud – AWS.
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices.

Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:

  • Prior experience in global life sciences, especially in the GPS functional area.
  • Experience working internationally with globally dispersed teams, diverse stakeholders, and managing offshore technical development teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent preferred.
