Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Expert to join our team at GradRight Inc. As a key member of our QA organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of software quality in our products and services.

Your Role:

You will have a 360-degree view of how software quality impacts our business, identifying and addressing problem areas, contributing to testing efforts daily, and participating in setting up an impeccable QA organization for long-term success.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in sprint ceremonies and collaborate with engineers, PMs, and UX designers to understand feature requirements and convert them into test cases
  • Write and maintain test suites for new features, products, and feature updates
  • Contribute to discussions around writing testable code and ensure sprints come to a successful closure while considering QA
  • Strive to maintain high test coverage levels
  • Own releases - create test plans, monitor execution, report on test execution, and work with engineers to ensure bugs are fixed before releases
  • Work with production support engineers to troubleshoot issues before handing them off to the engineering team and owning issue resolution

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a QA engineer, especially in manual QA
  • Expertise in various testing methodologies like functional, integration, performance, etc.
  • Strong understanding of software development workflows and agile tools like JIRA
  • Exposure to software design principles and patterns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We offer a competitive salary package that reflects your value to our organization.
