Performance Test Engineer Job

About this role:

We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer to join our team. As a Performance Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high-quality and reliability of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop, and Execute Performance Test Scripts: Utilize industry-leading tools such as JMeter to create comprehensive performance test scripts that simulate real-world user behavior.
  • Analyze Test Results: Identify bottlenecks, scalability issues, and performance gaps by analyzing test results and providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with development, QA, and business teams to define performance test requirements, ensure alignment with project goals, and drive overall quality.
  • Document Test Scenarios and Results: Maintain detailed documentation of test scenarios, test data, and results to facilitate review, knowledge sharing, and future reference.
  • Provide Recommendations for System Improvement: Offer strategic recommendations to enhance system stability, scalability, and performance, ensuring seamless end-user experiences.
  • Participate in Agile Ceremonies: Engage actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and project discussions to guarantee cross-functional collaboration and shared understanding.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hands-on Experience with JMeter: Possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with JMeter, demonstrating expertise in its usage for performance testing.
  • Strong Understanding of Performance Testing Methodologies: Exhibit a solid grasp of performance testing methodologies, including load testing, stress testing, and endurance testing.
  • Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Showcase strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, enabling effective identification and resolution of performance-related issues.
  • Educational Qualification: Hold a Bachelor's degree in any stream or equivalent, OR Master's degree in Computer Applications (MCA) or Information Technology (M.Sc.).
  • Professional Certifications: Have passed or be willing to pass the ISTQB Foundation Level certification within 3 months of joining, with exam costs reimbursed by us.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Core Java Scripting and Custom Test Development: Possess experience in Core Java scripting and custom test development using JMeter.
  • Application Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with application monitoring tools to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • CI/CD Pipelines and Performance Testing Integration: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and performance testing integration to streamline the testing process.
