Special Educator

Carely is a family-first disability support platform that connects children with developmental needs to trained, compassionate professionals. We specialize in providing structured, in-home therapy services that are respectful, goal-oriented and deeply personalized to each child's journey.

As a Special Educator at Carely, you will work one-on-one with a child in their home environment, developing functional academics, communication skills and supporting daily living activities (ADLs). This is a freelance, contract-based role with flexible scheduling.

  • You will design and deliver personalized special education sessions tailored to the child's needs
  • Focus on building functional communication, basic literacy, and language through structured activities
  • Support the child's independence in ADLs such as dressing, eating, and basic routines
  • Conduct informal assessments to set measurable goals and track progress
  • Develop engaging, age-appropriate learning tools and methods
  • Maintain clear session records and update the team regularly
  • Collaborate with parents and other therapists to ensure holistic support

Relevant experience includes working with children who have intellectual or physical disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other developmental delays.

We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and methodologies, who can work independently in a home-based setting and maintain a respectful, non-judgmental approach.
