Job Summary:

A skilled Database Administrator is sought to develop and maintain Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts, packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL, with experience working in a development environment using Oracle 19c or later versions.

The selected individual will be responsible for optimizing and tuning SQL queries to improve performance, collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions, and participating in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and deploy Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts, packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Optimize and tune SQL queries to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with application developers to design, implement, and maintain database solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including data discrepancies and performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices for SQL and PL/SQL development.
  • Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
  • Perform data modeling and design database structures that meet application needs and business requirements.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database procedures, structures, and processes.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL in a development environment.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing them for performance.
  • Experience with PL/SQL programming, including the creation of stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
  • Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning techniques and tools for Oracle databases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience with Oracle 19c or later versions.
  • Knowledge of database security practices and data integrity concepts.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for database code management.
