Maintenance Engineer

The primary goal of this role is to support production by ensuring that all equipment and systems are properly maintained, which enables efficient and reliable operation. This position involves performing regular technical checks on facilities and equipment, identifying any issues or problems, and taking corrective action to prevent downtime and minimize costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oiling, greasing, and cleaning of equipment and machinery.
  • Conduct technical inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
  • Implement repairs and maintenance work on conveyors involving automation, such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD, field sensors, sortation systems, and control cabinets.
  • Coordinate with vendors for systems under warranty or AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract).
  • Perform minor refurbishment and upgrade work for building finishes, fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
  • Carry out fire alarm and fire extinguisher regular checks.
  • Maintain daily reports on TT closures and open cases, including RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Controls and Instrumentation with 3-4 years of experience.
  • Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials.
  • Familiarity with relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tacks, and encoders.
  • Knowledge of electrical works, height work, hot work permits, and civil/plumbing maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
