Job Description:

At Skyroot, we are seeking a skilled Heat Transfer Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our thermal analysis department, you will be responsible for performing thermal design and analysis of launch vehicle electronic components.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thermal modeling and analysis of electronic components to estimate thermal performance.
  • Analyze thermal distribution, hotspots, and critical components.
  • Demonstrate strong system-level thinking and provide design suggestions based on simulation results.
  • Produce high-quality documentation for assigned work.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in using CFD and FEA tools for detailed system-level analysis (fluid dynamics and heat transfer fundamentals).
  • Experienced in using NX/Simcenter with the TMG solver (for space systems thermal) and ANSYS Fluent.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as MATLAB or Python, is desirable.
  • Familiar with space thermal materials, including thermal pads, thermal grease, and surface finishes.

Expected Salary Range:

$120,000 - $180,000 per year
