Job Title: Data Engineering Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our data engineering team in Ghaziabad, India.

This role requires a seasoned executive with expertise in BI and reporting, including enterprise-wide reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of insurance domain and nuances of UK Specialty markets.
  • Optimize digital trading platforms and systems for business growth.
  • Gain thorough knowledge of digital placement data and its interaction with the larger Marsh ecosystem.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Building consolidated views using disparate data sources and placement data.
  • Solving business pain points using data and technology.
  • Conceptualizing and delivering on ambitious projects with specific revenue potential.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering discipline.
  • 10-12 years of experience in BI and reporting, including enterprise-wide reporting systems.
  • 2-3 years of Team Management experience handling a minimum team size of 2-3 analysts.
  • Problem-solving skills within corporate IT environment constraints.
Technical Skills
  • Data Engineering and transformation skills – SQL or Oracle.
  • Data Visualization – Power BI is required, Tableau or Qlik is desirable.
  • Exposure and familiarity with cloud platforms like Databricks on Azure and AWS.
