Backend Developer Position

We seek a skilled backend developer to lead data migration from Azure Synapse Analytics to SQL-based systems.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL query writing, stored procedure development, and database optimization for large-scale data workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data solutions to migrate data and processes from Azure Synapse to SQL Server or other SQL platforms.
  • Develop backend services and APIs that integrate seamlessly with SQL databases, utilizing proficiency in C#, Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions to ensure scalability, security, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
  • Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and architecture planning to drive innovation and best practices.

Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of professional experience in backend development and SQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server and hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and database migration/ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in a backend programming language and experience with API development and integration.
  • Solid understanding of relational database design and normalization principles, as well as familiarity with Azure cloud services.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in performance tuning of large-scale SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL or hybrid data solutions.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps for database deployments.
