The successful candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in analytics, data science, or software engineering, with a strong desire to grow as a Data Scientist in highly automated industrial manufacturing doing analysis and machine learning on large datasets.
Responsibilities:
- Extract data from various databases via SQL and other query languages and apply data cleansing, outlier identification, and missing data techniques.
- Develop and implement machine learning models using Python, R, and SparkR, and deploy them on Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Teradata platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable data pipelines using ETL tools like SSIS and Tableau.
- Analyze time-series data, images, and semi-supervised learning, and work with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Communicate complex technical ideas effectively through written reports, presentations, and verbal communication.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong background in statistical modeling, feature extraction, supervised/unsupervised/semi-supervised learning.
- Experience with Python, R, PySpark, SparkR, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Teradata, Tensorflow, and/or other statistical software.
- Excellent software development skills, including proficiency in JavaScript and AngularJS.
- Ability to work with large datasets, including terabytes and petabytes of diverse data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in presenting technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
