As a Senior Economist, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on the Indian market across policy spectrum and various other macro indicators.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's in Economics or related field with 2-4 years of post-qualification experience as an Economic Analyst or Macro Strategist.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining econometric models to forecast future trends and risks.
  • Analyzing macroeconomic data to identify economic trends and themes.
  • Monitoring and assessing global economic developments and their potential impact on markets.
  • Writing and publishing research commentary to accompany data analysis and discuss market drivers.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong quantitative and mathematical skills with experience working with large amounts of data.
  • Advanced Excel, VBA analytical skills and knowledge of econometrics.
  • Working knowledge of Python or R is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to write research reports and comment on market developments.

A strong understanding of database tools such as Macrobond, CEIC, World Bank, CME and other financial databases is also required.
