Job Summary

This role involves creating a secure environment for our organisation by establishing a security operations center (SOC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing project roadmaps, setting up processes, creating incident response plans, and analysing alerts. They will also need to provide guidance to developers and DevOps teams on new threats and help harden infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement security operations strategies to protect against cyber threats
  • Lead the development of incident response plans and procedures to ensure timely and effective responses to security incidents
  • Analyse alerts and perform threat hunting using threat intelligence to investigate potential risks and identify suspicious behaviour
  • Provide technical guidance to developers and DevOps teams on security best practices and new technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security policies and standards
RequirementsSkills and Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of cloud environments and managed/vanilla Kubernetes clusters
  • Hands-on experience in intrusion detection, security investigations, and incident response
  • Experience in threat hunting using threat intelligence to investigate potential risks and identifying suspicious behavior
  • Strong data analysis skills; ability to independently write scripts/code to parse and analyse complex data
  • Familiarity with ELK/EFK/AWS-OpenSearch stack or other logging/stats/visualization tools like Grafana, Prometheus etc
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Technology (BE/B.Tech), M.Tech/ME in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 9 years of overall experience as a Security Operations engineer in medium to large-size product companies
