Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to design, implement, and maintain robust security measures to protect our systems, networks, and data. The ideal candidate will be experienced in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Security Solutions: Protect IT infrastructure, applications, and data by designing and implementing effective security solutions.
• Monitor Networks and Systems: Continuously monitor networks and systems for security breaches, anomalies, and threats to ensure prompt incident response.
• Conduct Vulnerability Assessments: Regularly conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential security weaknesses.
• Develop Incident Response Plans: Develop and maintain comprehensive incident response plans, and lead response efforts during security incidents.
• Perform Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize potential security risks.
• Configure Security Tools: Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and other essential security tools to ensure robust security posture.
• Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into DevOps practices and ensure seamless security integration.
• Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) to maintain a secure environment.
• Maintain Security Documentation: Maintain and update security documentation, runbooks, and technical reports to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Cybersecurity Awareness: Educate employees on cybersecurity awareness and secure coding practices to foster a culture of security within the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of network, application, and cloud security concepts is essential for this role.
• Experience: Experience with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners is necessary for identifying and addressing potential security threats.
• Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) is required for automating security tasks and workflows.
• Tools Familiarity: Familiarity with tools such as Splunk, Tenable, Qualys, Wireshark, etc. is necessary for leveraging their capabilities to enhance security posture.
• Security Frameworks: Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS) and regulatory compliance is essential for ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, or GIAC can demonstrate expertise and commitment to cybersecurity.
• Cloud Security: Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) can provide an edge in securing cloud-based environments.
• Secure Software Development: Experience in Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) practices can help develop secure software from the ground up.
• Container Security: Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes) can enable secure deployment and management of containers.
• Identity and Access Management: Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust Architecture can provide a solid foundation for access control and identity management.
