Job Title: Semiconductor Process Expert

Tata Electronics is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components. The company is building India's first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic.

Responsibilities include leading the Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) team in the 300mm wafer fab located in Dholera, India. Key tasks include recruiting, training, and enabling team members for OPC model development. Coaches and mentors team members to develop high performance, customer-oriented culture. Works with Technology Transfer partners to understand and transfer OPC methodology to Dholera fab. Develops OPC roadmap and works with cross-functional teams on OPC and develops models for different tool types and lithography conditions across multitude of technology nodes. Assists business teams in performance targets and cost analysis. Works with Technology Development teams on test chip layouts. Responsible for meeting project performance requirements. Conducts competitor benchmarking and Roadmap development. Presents to internal and customer senior executives. Travels as necessary.

Key attributes required for this role include ability to work with cross-functional teams, leadership skills, self-motivation, team player attitude, inclusivity, adaptability, collaborative mindset, innovative approach, and strong understanding of semiconductor process and customer design elements. Qualifications include B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Materials Science or equivalent; Masters & PhD holders preferred. Experience in developing and leading OPC teams on multiple technology nodes is also preferred. Strong knowledge of optical effects, Litho / etch CD, overlay data collection, and analyze for model-based OPC solutions. Familiarity with OPC modelling and rule-setting processes, Design enablement and tape-out systems, and innovation mindset are also required.
