Job Role Overview

The position of an Assistant Manager is a key leadership role that involves driving innovation and growth within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • To effectively manage project scope, define activities, and timelines to ensure timely completion.
  • Lead the development of new formulations by investigating API characteristics, safety, and compatibility with other ingredients.
  • Identify resource requirements and gather literature information to ensure appropriate usage throughout development.
  • Develop R&D plans and experimental designs using QBD principles and analyze data to provide relevant interpretations and recommendations.
  • Coordinate lab scale-ups and pilot batches while adhering to lab GMP systems and practices.
  • Review lab experiment notebooks and prepare technology transfer documents.
  • Coordinate with technology transfer teams and production sites to ensure seamless technology transfers.
  • Optimize existing product performance by investigating API characteristics and finished products.
  • Monitor stability studies, evaluate results, and advance further for product development.
  • Communicate with various departments to ensure timely project completion.
  • Develop new departmental SOPs, manuals, and guidelines documents as required.
  • Maintain equipment and instruments, ensuring proper training of subordinates, technicians, and housekeeping personnel.
  • Ensure proper storage and destruction of raw materials and finished goods and maintain up-to-date RLD samples inventory.
  • Participate in departmental audits and ensure compliance with recommendations.

Requirements & Qualifications

A Master in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) degree is required. The ideal candidate should have experience in formulation development, particularly with solid and liquid oral products, and preferably experience with pellet projects.
