Job Description

A network cybersecurity engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of an organization's computer systems and networks. The primary responsibility of this position is to design, implement, and maintain robust security measures to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network infrastructure, data center technologies, and cloud computing. They should be skilled in troubleshooting network issues using tools like Wireshark and possess strong knowledge of IPv4/IPv6 routing, DNS, load balancing, PAC files, proxies, and other layer 2-7 concepts.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience with AAA systems such as LDAP, MS AD, ID tokenization (SAML/OAuth), etc. and be proficient in setting up and troubleshooting GRE and IPSec tunnels.

It is essential for the network cybersecurity engineer to stay up-to-date with emerging security trends and best practices, as well as to collaborate with other IT and security teams to ensure seamless operation and integration of security tools and practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 10+ years of networking experience with included support focus that includes network infrastructure, Data Center technologies, and Cloud compute.
  • Network troubleshooting skills, including the use of Wireshark and other network tools with a strong focus on reducing MTTR to identify problems.
  • SSL, HTTP/HTTPS troubleshooting via browsers (performance and errors).
  • Knowledge of IPv4/IPv6routing, DNS, load balancing, PAC files, proxies, and other layer 2- 7 concepts.
  • Experience with AAA systems such as LDAP, MS AD, ID tokenization (SAML/OAuth), etc.
