Job Title: Furniture Production Specialist

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing production drawings, cutting lists, and material optimization strategies to drive efficiency in furniture production. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, technical skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed production drawings for furniture items based on initial designs and specifications.
  • Create comprehensive cutting lists that outline materials needed for production, including dimensions and quantities.
  • Optimize material usage by utilizing software tools to create efficient cutting plans.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure materials are available and suitable for intended designs.
  • Work closely with design and production teams to ensure feasibility of designs from a production standpoint.
  • Communicate effectively with the production team to convey any changes or requirements for the manufacturing process.
  • Review production drawings and cutting lists for accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct periodic audits of production processes to ensure adherence to design specifications and optimize production techniques.
  • Utilize CAD software to create and modify production drawings.
  • Stay updated with the latest software tools for cutting list generation and optimization.
  • Maintain organized documentation of production drawings, cutting lists, and project revisions for future reference and compliance.
  • Prepare reports on material usage, production efficiency, and any discrepancies encountered during production.
