Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. As a SQA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products and systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and testing, with experience in IV&V activities, requirements-based testing, and configuration control. You will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Tailoring checklists and verifying compliance for specific lab/estt needs
  • Analyzing software code, design, and related artifacts, and preparing reports
  • Ensuring high-level requirements are mapped to low-level requirements, design, implementation, and test cases, and generating reports
  • Executing test vectors, generating test oracles/data sets, and reporting results
  • Conducting functional, non-functional, and endurance tests according to ATP documents
  • Identifying, reporting, and verifying defects/bugs at the first level
  • Reviewing documentation for completeness, consistency, traceability, and reporting
  • Generating and analyzing test measurement reports
  • Developing automated regression test suites and conducting regression testing based on test plans
  • Generating test reports for certification, where applicable
  • Preparing required documentation for air-worthiness certification or equivalent certifications for all levels of criticality
  • Generating result reports for IV&V activities
  • Using configuration tools for software configuration control
  • Performing configuration audits and generating reports
  • Recording and analyzing software quality metrics data and reporting
  • Reviewing requirements, design, interfaces/protocols, and documents, and releasing review reports/audit reports
  • Verifying/updating low-level test plans, test cases, and test procedures (unit testing and module testing)
  • Conducting integration testing and analysis, and generating reports
  • Requirements-based testing and test case generation w.r.t. functional requirements
  • Generating endurance test cases and realizing endurance test beds
  • Generating smoke and sanity test results, reviewing, and validating the same
  • Re-verifying identification and reporting on closure of defects/bugs
  • Verifying test beds/prototypes similar to deliverable systems
  • Developing test procedures and test scripts for HSI testing based on requirements
  • Executing and reporting HSI testing
  • Phase checks, integration testing, and analysis of final V&V reports
  • End-to-end traceability review
  • Generating and verifying functional and non-functional requirement test cases
  • Code walkthrough and review, and reporting
  • Object code testing and review, and reporting
  • FPGA/Verilog/VHDL code review and reporting
  • Third-party library testing and report generation
  • Verifying software tool qualification and documentation
  • Impact analysis and change request-based testing and regression analysis
  • Mutation testing with debugging, fault injection at unit, component, and system levels
  • Defect identification and tracking
  • Preparing and managing trace data
  • Developing/updating software IV&V plans as per standards/guidelines
  • Testing using jigs, simulators, and test beds
  • Defining IV&V processes and methodologies
  • Reviewing and validating all test plans, suites, and results, including automated regression test suites
  • Analyzing software quality metrics data as per established process and product metrics
  • Auditing all reviews
  • Auditing all IV&V processes
  • Validating deliverable systems w.r.t. functional and non-functional requirements
  • Behavioral testing and reliability assessment
  • Generating/validation of FAT and ATP documents
  • Reviewing all documents related to qualification and certification, and releasing the same
