Job Title: Senior Cloud Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems on the Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software applications using GCP services such as BigQuery, DataProc, and Composer.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability of data processing systems.
  • Perform research on emerging technologies and evaluate their suitability for implementing innovative solutions.
  • Lead architectural improvements and design prototypes or core features as needed.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in GCP environment mainly DataProc, Composer, BigQuery.
  • Proficiency in PySpark.
  • Knowledge of BigQuery and SQL.
  • Good knowledge of Python, Scala, Hive, and DevOps configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Docker, TeamCity, Jenkins, uDeploy, Kubernetes, Maven).
  • Experience with tooling across the SDLC (Sonar, Crucible, JIRA, HP ALM, HP UFT, Confluence, Nexus, Artifactory, Teamcity, Git/BitBucket).
  • Experience in a Banking/Wealth management domain.
  • Experience of working in Agile Environment.
  • Relevant and demonstrable experience in designing and documenting requirements in agile teams.
