About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Communications Intern. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in storytelling, communication, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews and conversations with beneficiaries and stakeholders to capture authentic stories.
  • Document stories and events in clear, concise, and engaging formats (articles, short write-ups, social media captions, case studies, etc.).
  • Support the creation of internal and external communication materials.
  • Assist in building and maintaining an archive of stories, photographs, and other content assets.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to generate fresh ideas for content.
  • Support in designing visual content such as social media posts, presentations, or reports using tools like Adobe Suite, Canva, or similar.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (ongoing or completed) in Communications, Journalism, English, Liberal Arts, Media Studies, Public Relations, or related fields.
  • Candidates from Design, Fine Arts, or related disciplines with strong writing skills are also encouraged to apply.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of regional languages is a plus).
  • Strong interviewing and documentation abilities, comfortable talking to people and drawing out stories.
  • Ability to write across formats: from short social media copy to long-form articles.
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple stories and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with design tools (Adobe Suite, Canva, Figma, etc.) is a significant plus.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
