This role requires hands-on technical skills, experience with B&R I/O systems and Siemens PLCs, and a solid foundation in risk assessment and machine safety.

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced electrical engineer with expertise in control systems, drive selection, and safety compliance for semiconductor capital equipment. Key responsibilities include leading motor, drive, and motion system design, selection, and sizing, working with industrial I/O systems, contributing to risk assessments, designing AC/DC power distribution systems, capturing and clarifying technical requirements, taking ownership of assigned projects, and providing hands-on troubleshooting support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of drive selection, motor sizing, and motion control principles.
  • Experience with SEMI S14 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL compliance.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of PLM systems.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for drives, control circuits, and industrial I/O.

Preferred Skills:
  • Basic PLC programming knowledge: experience with B&R and Siemens PLCs is an added advantage.
  • Field commissioning and customer support experience.
