Micahel Page is a well-established medium-sized retailer specializing in jewellery and accessories. We are seeking to set up a non-banking financial company (NBFC) in Mumbai, providing a key opportunity to lead legal oversight in the establishment of a successful growing organization.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal compliance and financial processes during the setup of the NBFC and its initial operations. This includes preparing and submitting all necessary documentation for obtaining the NBFC license with the RBI, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, and liaising with regulatory authorities.

In addition, the candidate will assist in drafting and maintaining internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with RBI guidelines and other statutory requirements. Working with external legal counsel to manage legal matters related to the NBFC setup is also a critical aspect of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We require a candidate with 5-7 years of overall experience in legal management, open to travel to Surat for meeting promoters. Experience in a finance or legal compliance role within the financial services industry, preferably with experience in NBFC or banking, is highly preferred. Dealing with NBFC licensing or working with RBI regulations is also desirable.
