Channel Management Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Channel Management Leader to join our team. As a Channel Management Leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial channel policies for multiple product lines. Your primary goal will be to ensure comprehensive channel saturation across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Development: Create and implement effective channel policies that drive business growth and revenue increase.
  • Channel Saturation: Ensure our products reach every corner of the country by managing and coordinating with a vast network of distributors and retailers.
Competitive Positioning & Business Growth:
  • Strategic Discounts: Drive business growth through strategic, policy-level discounts that set us apart from competitors.
  • National Initiatives: Champion national initiatives like 'Make in India' to align with government objectives and expand market penetration.
Channel Finance & Discipline:
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee the deployment of channel finance and collections processes to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Channel Governance: Enforce discipline within the channel to prevent price undercutting and territorial overreach.
Expansion of Channel Network:
  • Partner Identification: Identify, appoint, and manage large channel partners to extend our presence to over 100 cities.
Product Licensing Programs:
  • Licence Partner Management: Lead LV license partner programs, partial type-tested programs, and MV license programs, such as VCB (Vacuum Circuit Breaker).
Quality of Sales & Inventory Management:
  • Sales Quality Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels to ensure alignment with sales quality, service standards, and warranty/out-of-warranty protocols.
Operational Excellence:
  • Operational Efficiency: Establish and maintain discipline in invoicing processes, weekly order bookings, book-and-bill ratios, and reducing month-end operational pressure.
Workforce Productivity:
  • Performance Alignment: Supervise and ensure channel workforce contributions align with our growth objectives, while regularly monitoring their performance.
Electrician Engagement & Training:
  • Electrician Program: Drive the Electrician Program to enhance diffused channel sales for MCB, DB, and contactor products.
Digital Sales Enablement:
  • Digital Sales Promotion: Promote digital sales via our own website and third-party platforms like Amazon and Moglix.
PQ & Electrical Channel Strategy:
  • OEM Supply: Expand PQ business through OEMs while supplying products via electrical channels.
Key Performance Targets:
  • DSO Improvement: Achieve best-in-class Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) of 50 days within the next 12 months.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • At least 15 years of experience in channel management across India.
  • Proven expertise in channel management and business development.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of channel finance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage large-scale operations and multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with digital sales platforms and e-commerce strategies.
