Job Title: Assistant Manager

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations and providing exceptional support to our organization.

  • Monitor and handle all legal issues regarding claims matters, including recovery actions for outstanding freight, detention, and demurrage, as well as abandoned and longstanding containers.
  • Assist in the acknowledgement of receipt of new claims within 24 hours and gather relevant documents to report to HO.
  • Provide expert advice on the merits of a claim and recommend future steps.
  • Collaborate with HO claims and colleagues in handling claims and court cases until closure.
  • Handle P&I related matters, such as cargo claims and third-party damages to containers and cargo.
  • Recover costs and expenses incurred by the company from third parties.
  • Manage debt recoveries and draft various agreements and letters of intent.
  • Implement procedures implemented by the Head Office Legal Department and provide guidance to branch offices.
  • Offer legal advice and assist other Departments on shipping-related issues.
  • Handle loss of OB/L cases and apply Bank Guarantee procedures.
  • Monitor and handle court cases, appeals, writ petitions, and actions initiated by authorities.
  • Appoint and liaise with reputable surveyors and outside counsels.
  • Make recommendations for improving claims handling processes and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on regulations impacting the company's scope of activity.
